Okay, so I'm not saying this entirely to everyone that owns one-- only the people who just got into it [because people around them been in it] and call their self a photographer. How could someone even call their-self a photographer when they have to turn to a dslr just because it's "in" and when they haven't even realized the beauty of manual cameras to begin with. Most people would give a shit less about this but it fucking annoys the shit out of me.
A lot of people have forgotten the beauty of manual cameras and photographs. What about the toners, the affects of light, the chemicals, and processed film that can still be appreciated but isn't enough? It just goes to show that no one cares except the people that have a real interest in photography. Maybe not all photographers do, but I'm pretty sure they appreciate anything related 'cause it's not just a hobby or job to them, it's their life.
It's actually funny that some [real] photographers try to age their photos, because photograph back then are considered more beautiful what's out there now. Although we can replicate it, it just isn't the same.
So, a friend of mine recently commented on a really old myspace picture of mine saying he wants fisheye lens too. No offense but he's annoying, and what's annoying more is how after his name title thing says his name, in brackets it says "The Photographer"-- seriously? He might read this but fuck it if he does. Okay soooo, back to the point. . I still want them but they're not a necessity, honestly. A while ago, my boyfriend asked me if I still wanted fish eye lens but fuck it 'cause do I really need it? It's a nice-to-have type of shit but you gotta be practical. I rather go get a fucking disposable fish eye lomo if it's something I'm not going to use often. Or I rather have him buy me all the Polaroid 600 film that's still out there. Yeah, the pictures come out nice but what if you wanted the original of the photo? Without the effect of the fish eye lens?
I may sound hypocritical because I do own a DSLR but at least I don't fucking take a picture of every god damn thing EVERY FUCKING DAY! I only use my shit for occassion or simply because my point and shoot fucking sucks ass 'cause I haven't upgrade since '04.

This whole "trend" connects a lot to the sneaker culture, I think. C'mon, what person on ISS doesn't have a fucking DSLR? And ride a fixie and have a blog?!
Yeah, you can say that I have a DSLR and blog but at least my fucking blog is not just pictures that I take every fucking day. But to be honest, I like going on random blogs to see their pictures but not just any pictures-- good fucking quality pictures in .JPG format, .PNG is okay for myspace 'cause I know it fucks up the quality of the picture. Anyway, my blog is simply to inform as well as entertain. You can't really say shit to me 'cause I've been blogging since I was fucking 9, okay. If you want to come debate me, come and debate me! It's been almost 10 years since I've been writing about my life to the public, so if you've known me that long-- then you know.
Okay, whatever. I'm over it, for now. Just thought I'd share my thoughts since I barely do that now on my blog.

Lol, although I'm miles apart & it's not like I'll be celebrating it with you, but I got a few things packed up for you already & I just wanna send it already, but that would be a little weird since it's still a month away. I use .png though >.< only because I'm use to saving it that way since Myspace fucks it all up when saved under .jpg! Plus, I think photobucket does to? I'm not sure, but anyways, what website do you know that I can upload .jpg formats & not worry about it being all distorted?? Hahaha. I'd like to try & go back to .jpg someday.

I totally agree with you on this blog on how people make it a "trend" because nobody can ever be different anymore even if they try.
For me, I bought my dslr for my future vacation trips, special occasions, etc. Not for no damn..how should I say this? Every little thing I see in the street. It sucks that I got in the mail after my damn Paris trip though. Hmm, what else? I don't even really have time to play and learn the settings over here (ok maybe I lied, i'm just lazy) but imma do that when I come home since I'll be on vacation.
I'm down to go shoot in the city, only if you're still down? Bring the boyfriend.
Anyway, what's up with those fixie bikes? I don't get it. What's so special about it? Like seriously cause I've been out of California for awhile now, I really don't know what's going on there. I like bmx bikes and want to learn how to do some tricks. Same goes for the mountain bikes, I wanna use for training or working out and also just to stroll around the block with.
Blogs becoming a trend? WTF?!!! I've started blogging since 2003 with Xanga. I deleted it last year while I was in Iraq and super regret it because of the memories :( Luckily, my friends xangas still on there to look back on but it still sucks.
