I.E. VS E.G.,

Random post but whatever.

Have you ever wondered what i.e. or e.g. would stand for?

I always wondered but I finally looked it up. i.e. stands id est which means "that is" in Latin abbreviations where e.g. is also a Latin abbreviation which stands for "for example." For me, I always thought i.e. stood for "in example" and e.g. as "example given." I'm very wrong though but whatever, I know I'm not the only person that ever wondered, lol.

Goodnight readers.
