HALL OF FAME: MICHAEL JORDAN,

It's no surprise that Michael Jordan is honored to be in the NBA's Hall of Fame. But seriously, why did it take this long?

I remember back in elementary when my dad used to watch basketball, his favorite player was Michael Jordan. I'd sit there in front of the television and watch with him. He'd buy Air Jordans for himself and my little brother. My sister and I weren't allowed to wear sneakers 'cause we're "girls." I still can't believe this poster is in good condition, it's from the 90's.. I stole it from my dad. It's hanging in my closet right now.

In middle school, I fell "in love" or you can say had a big crush on one of the plastic boys. You know, the boys that had every Air Jordan shoe that released on Saturdays and wore it on the following Monday/Friday, the boys that were all on the basketball team, the boys that all  ate lunch together. To make it more specific, the names of these boys were-- Jonathan, Cris, and Vinson. If you went to my middle school, you already know.

I loved a boy with sneakers. It was the most attractive thing about a boy when I was only a 11 years old girl. I went to the mall one day and begged my dad for a pair of Jordan's which was weird for my dad since I am a girl. He bought them for me, and I loved them because they reminded me of that boy I had a crush on. I still have those shoes until today, they're beat.

A year later, I went out with one of the plastic boys in middle school, the one I had a crush on. And if you're slow..  that boy was Jonathan. We broke up summer of 2003. Four years later--now, we're back together.

Anyway, that story was unnecessary but I just felt reminiscing.

Back to Michael Jordan, I don't even know why people compare you to Kobe or LBJ. You're Michael Jordan. Who cares if people hate you for your retro's--there are still people that appreciate/look up to you after all these years. Thank you Michael for your legacy, stories/memories, and shoes. I am glad to have live to see you play on television.
