PAST,

@ 8:43 PM by jessica

I miss it very much. I had an average childhood, nothing too great though. Though, I wish life was just as easy as it used to be. When I think about my past, I did so much things that I don't do anymore even the things I can still do, I don't anymore.

Not a lot of people know I used to play the violin for five years, know how to sew [and use a sewing machine], danced hula and tahitian, in squad drill for my class company; drill platoon for my school, Filipino club president for two consecutive years, etc. And there's things that I tried but never went through with like cheerleading and show choir (auditioned, got in but didn't continue).

A lot of people ask me what my hobbies are and quite frankly I don't know what they are. A few days ago, I was talking to a friend about something but he then asked to see some of my old photoshop work. I've done photoshop since I was in the fourth grade, so I'd say I have 10 years experience but it was something I did for fun. I used to spent countless hours editing photos and whatnot, which also brings my passion for photography. I used to love it so much and take such artsy photos and edit it to certain lighting that I want. But I also wanted to show my work off so I did on various websites/blogs. I am really antsy about how my blogs look, I used to even change my layout every time I'd get tired of it.

Ever since I got a macbook, I stopped doing photoshop. I don't have the program on my macbook. I feel as if I'm losing my passion for photoshop. And ever since I got a D40, I never really cared to edit my pictures.. although I still try to take artsy photos like subjects that aren't centered and whatnot but it's not great of a passion as I used to back then. With layouts, I'm just lazy to edit.

I wish I still had the passion to do certain things. Basically live life unplanned and just going with the flow. Now that I'm older, everything is on schedule. Even with my boyfriend, we have to plan dates which is good but not as spontaneous and fun than something that we do just for the fun of it. Like back when we first started dating and Jonathan didn't drive. We did stuff we wouldn't even think of doing now like walking from School of the Arts (SOTA) all the way to Twin Peaks, I still can't believe we walked that. Or like how we got stuck at Golden Gate Bridge and no buses were running.

I'm getting old and life's not as fun anymore. This is a bunch of nonsense rambling, but I must get back to reality and do homework and laundry.

fin.
