I didn't know they expanded the showing date of Paranormal Activity? My sister and I were lucky enough to see it the second (Saturday) night of release date, unlike San Franciscans. It sold out around 6pm in West Sac, but I heard it sold out the first night for all three days in San Francisco.

I give this movie three stars. I could've had easily given the movie 5 stars but the beginning of the movie was too boring, it wasn't good until the end where I literally closed my eyes as I almost fell asleep. And that's about 5 minutes of the movie that's really good, the rest before that was boring. Just tellin' you like it is.

A must-watch movie! Some people think it sucked but I thought it was scarier than other movies.

My experience: do not read any further if you plan on watching it..

When my sister and I got to the theaters, it sucked because there was a long line of people waiting to get in. I felt like we were waiting for shoes but they finally let us in exactly at midnight. I never liked that theater because of it's dome-shaped, and it reeked. The woman who sat next to me was rather annoying because she kept making all sort of noises when I was watching but I decided to listen to her apparently, I rolled my eyes and continued to watch the movie.

Let me tell you, the beginning of this movie is fairly boring! But I encourage you to sit through the whole thing. All I kept saying was, "psycho bitch!" 'cause that's what the woman was, I forgot her name already but the man in the movie's name is Micah (fake name btw). I closed my eyes 'cause I was getting sleepy from being bored and all of a sudden, everyone in the theater screams so I immediately opened my eyes. I see the woman on the screen fall on the floor of their bedroom and get dragged outside the door, downstairs to the living room. Screams from downstairs, so Micah wakes up and quickly runs down stairs to see what's happening. The audience is left to stare at their empty bedroom, and boom! Micah is thrown at the camera/screen, as the camera falls to the ground, the woman checks out Micah and stares at the screen/audience. At the end, they say that Micah's body was found, but the woman was gone.

Okay, I pretty much told you everything where it started getting really scary. I didn't get to read everything at the end but people said the director wrote that it was fake but I don't know, I didn't get to read it for myself. My sister told me that casts names were fake but that's it. When I got home, I slept with my sister in her room. I am admitting that I was scared, I woke up in the middle of the night trying to not think of the movie. I slept in my room the following night, with the lights on of course. I couldn't bare to sleep in the dark and I made sure I brushed my teeth and everything before my sister goes to sleep just so I know someone is awake when I am. On Monday night, I still couldn't sleep without the lights on. And finally, Wednesday night.. I had the guts to turn of the light in my room as I slept. I didn't really think about it much then 'cause I was really sleepy.

After watching a horror movie, I usually can sleep peacefully the same night but something about Paranormal Activity got to me. Firstly, it was in a documentary-type of filming. It made it believable compared to other scary movies that you know used a lot of money and time doing but this, this actually looked real. The choice of color for night-vision on the camera during the bedroom scenes, made it scary since everything was black and green. Secondly, I could relate to the possessed woman in the movie in a way. When I was young, I used to sleep walk. People say I still sleep talk (?) but I do no longer sleep walk. I remember this one night sleeping at my aunts house in Hercules with all my cousins in their guest room, the next morning I woke up in my aunt and uncles room. I asked them, why am I here and what happened? They told me.. I was sleep walking, and they found me downstairs in their living room screaming and crying. I don't know if they said the television was on, I forgot. But that shit was scary! That is the scary part of Paranormal Activity, because some of the things that happened in the movie, happens to people in real life.

But that's all I have to say about this movie. I think they purposely want people to go to bed scared since the only showings are at 11:59 PM, and only show once a night.
