I'm all about embracing my city by exploring the new and old in San Francisco or revisiting old favorite locations. Earlier today, I saw a San Francisco magazine addressed to my manager, but it wasn't just any magazine.. Tim Lincecum is the cover boy for July 2010. My shift leader was going to throw it out but I asked if I could keep it. As I continued to look through the pages, there are a couple of things in San Francsico that I never knew about. One thing that caught my eye was Steve Silver's Beach Blanket Babylon. After stumbling across their advertisement, I decided to check out their listed website.
Looks like a fun time to me. I want to go to one, maybe later in the year though.
Steve Silver's Beach Blanket Babylon, the longest running musical revue in theatre history, is a zany musical spoof of pop culture with extravagant costumes and outrageously huge hats. With sold-out performances since 1974, Beach Blanket Babylon is an internationally acclaimed San Francsico institiution. With more than 12,000 performances in San Francisco, the show has performed for standing room only during its London and Las Vegas engagements. Beach Blanket Babylon continually evolves in its hilarious parodies of current events and popular icons as todays headlines unfold.Of course, I had to check out their past performance pictures.
