BAKERS BEACH,

Straight from my Yelp review.

My favorite beach in San Francisco! Totally kicks Ocean beach's ass to the curb. The view of the Golden Gate Bridge is amazing from the beach. This place is pack usually during days with nice weather especially if it's on the weekend. And yes, the rumors are true.. there are nude people that wander or sunbath at this beach, but they're usually at the part of the beach that is closer to the bridge.

During junior year of high school, my boyfriend and I were bored so we decided to go to the beach on a school day.. we could have easily gone to Ocean beach since it's right by my high school but we bussed it to Baker Beach instead.. after being there for a good 1-2 hours.. we decided to finally go home.. the 29 bus wasn't running anymore so we had to walk all the way to the Golden Gate Bridge.. and after figuring out an hour later that the 29 wasn't running anymore.. my bf and I took the 28 to Stonestown and took the M to the West Portal station.. but the metros were no longer going in the tunnel which was whack 'cause Forest Hill was just a stop away.. so there was an L bus that took us to Forest Hill station.. we got picked up and pretty much got in trouble for staying out past 1030 on a school night.. it was fun though.

The reason why Baker Beach is so special to me because on that same day was the first time my boyfriend ever told me he loved me on May 16, 2007.

After that time, we have gone here two times which isn't enough but it's a special place that should be kept that way.. it's always nice to revisit. Both the other times we have came here, we have always had picnics.. and always brought sandwiches from Roxie's (best sandwiches!).

The first time I actually went here was during middle school for a friend's birthday.. the picnic area is limited so I suggest going here early.. and I'm sure it's on a first come first serve basis.. they have restrooms nearby the picnic area/parking lot and if you are driving here, parking is limited.
